August Brain Science Training: Building Capacity Across Communities

In August, the Alliance for Mental Well-Being welcomed a new cohort of learners to our Brain Science Training program. This round brought together 30 participants from community-based non-profits across Prince Edward Island, all eager to deepen their understanding of the science behind resilience and mental well-being.

The training is designed to translate the latest research on  brain development, resilience, and mental well-being into practical knowledge that organizations can apply in their daily work. By participating, leaders and front-line staff gained new tools to strengthen their programs, policies, and services helping them support the well-being of the people and communities they serve.

“This training creates space for both learning and reflection, giving participants the opportunity to apply brain science in ways that are meaningful to their organizations and the people they work with.” – Megan MacKenzie, Director of Knowledge and Mobilization with the Alliance.

The Alliance is proud to support capacity building through initiatives like this. Together, we’re creating a stronger foundation for lasting mental well-being across PEI.
