Our Grant Program provides community organizations with multi-year funding to deliver projects and initiatives that enhance mental well-being.
We focus on funding initiatives that are prevention-based, upstream, and rooted in the science of brain development.
All funded projects must focus on one or more of the three evidence-based factors that contribute to brain development, resilience, and mental well-being:
This fall, we are inviting applications for multi-year projects of two and three years! We’ve streamlined it into a three-step process.
(Open for 3 weeks starting late September)
You’ll be asked to submit a brief project summary. This will include details about your organization, the project’s purpose, evidence/information that indicates a need for this project, how it incorporates prevention-based approaches, and who it will serve.
You’ll also be able to view the full application during this stage. We strongly encourage you to review it to ensure you can meet all requirements if you are moved to the final stage.
Completed on a rolling basis as Project Summary submissions are received.
We’ll review your Project Summary and contact you within 10 business days to confirm whether your project is eligible to advance to the next step. If eligible, we’ll walk you through the next steps, which may include:
• A coaching session with the Alliance team
• A request for more details
• Moving forward to the full application
Applicants will have approximately two (2) weeks to submit the full application from the time they are notified they can proceed.
Here you’ll share your project objectives, desired outcomes, budget, roles/responsibilities of lead and co-applicants, evaluation plan, and other key considerations.
Again, we encourage you to begin preparing your project details and supplementary information during Steps 1 and 2 if possible.
An independent Peer Review Committee is responsible for evaluating applications and making funding recommendations to the Alliance Board of Directors.
Peer Reviewers assess applications using Grant Program criteria, participate in group discussions, and make funding recommendations. This multi-step process leverages their diverse expertise to score applications and provide constructive feedback.
All applicants are notified of final funding decisions in March.
