Ayodhya (Nish) Fonseka

Director

Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Nish came to PEI to pursue a Master’s in Education. She now works as a Program Assistant for the Study & Stay PEI program, supporting international post-secondary students as they integrate into the Island’s workplace, culture, and community. She also teaches language classes to newcomers at Holland College.

Nish is passionate about understanding the challenges that international students and newcomers to Canada face and how their mental well-being is impacted. She is equally committed to educating them on ways to support their mental health. Nish was inspired to join our Board because of our dedication to enhancing mental well-being and we’re inspired by her commitment to supporting newcomers in their mental wellness journey.
