Evan Getson
Community Impact Coordinator
Evan has spent the past three years working as a grant consultant, empowering organizations across the country access critical funding and deliver meaningful impact. Prior to this, he developed standardized educational programming for entrepreneurs and early-stage companies as a Program Manager with a leading business accelerator.
He has consulted with academic institutions on program development, most notably contributing to the creation of the Social Entrepreneurship & Non-Profit Governance program with St. Thomas University and the Student Venture Fund with the University of New Brunswick. An active volunteer, Evan is regularly involved in his community and is committed to giving back wherever he can.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a diploma in technology management & entrepreneurship, Evan is excited to join the PEI Alliance for Mental Well-Being. He looks forward to supporting its evolution from a granting organization in its infancy into an enduring pillar of support for Islanders.
If you could tell every single person on PEI why the work of the Alliance is important, what would you tell them?
“I think it’s crucially important to support the people and organizations driving positive impact in our communities, as they are the backbone of our Island. The Alliance’s approach to funding upstream initiatives empowers the delivery of lasting impact. As the old adage goes, ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’, and in this way, the Alliance’s ability to help the helpers is critical as we look to build resiliency for all Islanders.”
