Mental Well-Being

The World Health Organization describes mental well-being as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes their own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community.”

Still, it is important to know that there is no single definition of mental well-being accepted universally. Instead, it can have unique meaning to different groups, cultures, contexts, and individuals.

By promoting mental well-being, we aim to prevent negative outcomes.

Focusing Action for Positive Change Grant Program

Through our Focusing Action for Positive Change Grant Program, we support the delivery of projects and initiatives focused on strengthening resilience and improving mental well-being across Prince Edward Island.
